Why should you hire a wedding coordinator?
That’s a simple question. So you can enjoy your event to its full capacity.
Many don’t realize the work that goes into running an event such as a wedding. You’re investing so much money, so why not actually enjoy the event? If you’re having to babysit the vendors, your special day becomes less special and more stressful.
During a wedding you don’t want to be stressing about all the details and making sure you’re staying on time. The coordinator will schedule the entire day by creating a detailed itinerary for everyone to follow, including the couple and the bridal party which will be approved by the couple and then sent to all the vendors. This will include the schedule for when the vendors will need to arrive and set up everything for the event, which is done hours prior to the event. This schedule will also include everything that the bride and groom need to be doing prior to the event. This schedule will also coordinate arrival times for the bride, groom and bridal party to avoid them seeing one another before the wedding.
The schedule will also entail the times and order of the ceremony procession. The coordinator is most important during this time of the event as this person is the one who informs all the vendors that the main event is happening. The coordinator will prep the bride and her bridal party to escort her to the beginning of the aisle. At this time she will direct the bridal party during the procession.
The schedule is detailed so that the DJ, photographer, videographer and all other vendors all know what’s going and they are where they need to be. The coordinator is the messenger that keeps everyone informed during the event. This person also handles any mishaps that may happen during the event that the couple will not find out about until after the event. The coordinator will also be the one to help with photos to make sure photos are being taken with everyone that the bride and groom want photos with, and then walk them around the property for their portraits.
The next important item on the list to be handled by the coordinator is happy hour, dinner and dessert. They will handle every aspect of your guests eating dinner/being served and then coordinate the clearing of all the tables. There is so much more to be coordinated during the event that the couple will request and it is the coordinators duty to schedule it on the itinerary and assure the couple that the event will be executed flawlessly.
